Bill Nye - Still in the Fight

Today students read an article from Popular Science about Bill Nye and his crusade to improve the state of early science education in America. Students also related the article to the importance of being able to not rush into decision making, taking the time to collect information, and making rational decisions.

Properties of Water - Surface Tension

The first lesson in Science for the 2014-15 school year is on Surface Tension. Today, students participated in some brief "experiments" to explore the properties of water. We also watched a short video in the "Jesus Lizard". A useful link for review and the video follow.
